I liked Teacher Vivien's style of teaching. She helped me improve my comprehension and essay writing skills, by teaching me specific frameworks and providing clear essay constructs with evidences and examples I could apply in my school essays. Additionally, the past year papers she provided for comprehensions allowed practice exam-style questions and allowed me to better understand question requirements. Overall, her guidance really helped me improve in English.

Teacher Vivien’s lessons are really engaging and she is really patient when it comes to teaching! She provides materials and resources that are really helpful! For example, for essay writing, the material she provides helps us learn how to unpack the essay questions. For paper 2, she taught me how to annotate and break down the passage so that I could understand better and answer the questions accordingly!

When I didn’t understand certain stuff, she would have the patience to explain in a simpler way or give examples in order for me to understand despite her repeating a few times! I really appreciate her for that!

For my end of year exam in Secondary 3, I have improved from me usually getting a borderline pass or a fail to getting B4 overall! I really recommend Teacher Vivien as your English teacher if you want the proper guidance when doing English!
